Your Talent
- 5+ years’ relevant work experience
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Proven experience in cost controlling and analysis, preferably in a wholesale or retail environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze large amounts of data, join data from various sources, and provide actionable recommendations
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to travel occasionally to warehouse facilities for audit purposes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel a must
- SAP S/4HANA knowledge a plus
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and analysis is highly desirable.
- Well organized, reliable, and efficient with the ability to prioritize
- Outgoing team player with initiative, integrity, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional & positive attitude
- Sense of urgency and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Your Mission
- Work with Procurement and Inventory teams to ensure accurate product costs are included in PO transactions and landed inventory values using the Moving Average Cost (MAC) methodology
- Provide analysis of product margins based on current and projected costs; collaborate with the Merchandising team in the development of future season margin projections based on forecasted product assortment plans
- Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Analysis: Validate invoice timing and accuracy, analyze cost discrepancies, and identify root causes.
- Periodically review and update standard cost assumptions for future products by reviewing and analyzing actual cost results
- Prepare and maintain Internal Control documentation related to the product costing functions for the ERP system.
- Partner with Accounting management to drive CoGS validation for month-end close
- Collaborate on inventory-controlling activities and provide audit support
- Assist with the development of standardized best practices in reporting and control methods
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within financial reporting and analysis.
- Develop tools, solutions, and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making across the business as well as enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Cross-functional collaboration and general support within the Wholesale Controlling team as needed.
