Your Talent
- A natural team player able to develop strong working relationships with both internal PUMA colleagues and our suppliers.
- Experienced in Apparel Product Development with knowledge of Garment Tech and Order Management.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral as a core requirement of the role is to coordinate information between product suppliers and internal departments
- Detail oriented, resourceful, self-motivated and proactive.
- Excellent computer skills including, Excel, Outlook, Illustrator, Power Point and Word.
- Able to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Willing to travel periodically as required by the business.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- A strong team player within the department and the business.
Your Mission
Puma Teamwear has an exciting job opportunity for a Product Developer to work on the development and delivery of our Licensed match wear and replica kit for our contracted UK and Ireland Football Clubs.
- To work with our suppliers to develop high quality performance apparel for our customers from prototype to final product.
- Working with and building strong supportive relationships with local and overseas product suppliers.
- Working in conjunction with the PUMA product design team on product concepts, prototypes, testing and development through to bulk production.
- Supporting internal PUMA Teamwear departments with product specific needs and expertise.
- Ensuring suppliers meet and exceed PUMA’s high standards of product excellence, quality and performance
- Previous experience in a similar apparel development position or capacity is necessary.
- Work directly with the garment suppliers and support the strong relationship Puma UKI has built with them which will include yearly factory visits.
- Work with garment suppliers on product quality and negotiate cost prices to deliver against financial targets.
- Work with a specialist football design team to develop the seasonal kit base garments based on Puma’s Global seasonal creative direction.
- Develop and perfect product prototypes for fit and function to present to Puma UKI’s Licensed Club partners and bring these to life with bespoke seasonal designs and product stories
- Work directly with Clubs and their account Managers and to approve print strike-offs, trim and product embellishment including Club badges
