Your Talent
- Bachelor's Degree in Design or related field
- Performance design and managerial experience required.
- Ability to manage design processes from conception through production.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of apparel trends and technical design.
- Clear understanding of garment construction, materials, fit standards, and cost-effective design expertise. Excellent eye for color, fabric, silhouette and detail.
- Strong trend forecasting and market research skills.
- Ability to translate brand vision into commercially viable designs with a demonstration to innovate while maintaining brand integrity.
- Knowledge of 3D design tools for potential color/material rendering. Adobe and MS office proficiency.
- Experience working in an international/global setting.
- 25% domestic and international travel.
Your Mission
We are looking for an energetic design leader to oversee PUMA’s International Training design team. This person will be responsible to creatively lead and manage the design team through the entire design process from concept to completion. This person will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a resume of experience that can lead a team of talented designers to create a successful product range that fulfills the ever-changing request of the training consumer. This person will manage a team of multiple designers and be an integral part of implementing the seasonal creative brand direction within the training product offering.
Implement creative direction for PUMA’s Training product line supporting the overall brand creative direction in alignment with all creative cross functional design partners.
Provide market research and design trend analysis.
Managing and mentoring a team of designers.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (with Product Development, Merchandising, and Sourcing).
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback to drive quality and performance.
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Cultivate and maintain a positive, constructive working environment.
Organize and participate in market travel to international and domestic markets and key accounts.
